NEXT ART CHICAGO is the result of the merger of two successful and long-running art fairs, Art Chicago and NEXT, The Invitational Exhibition of Emerging Art. As the largest, most important visual arts event in the Midwest, it provides collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts with the opportunity to experience the most compelling art of our day.
With a combined history of 35 years the fair will take a considered, cohesive, and tightly-curated approach where the most exciting emerging artists will be shown alongside more established figures, affording a lively dialogue between generations as well as a survey of the newest developments in contemporary art. This new model is being implemented by a staff focused in the visual arts and led by Staci Boris, former curator at the Spertus Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.
NEXT ART CHICAGO will showcase a broad range of important works of art in tandem with a continued our emphasis on intelligent and innovative educational programming, exhibitions, and special events.
