A floorwide exhibition of exemplary works surveying contemporary and vintage photography culled from galleries exhibiting in both Art Chicago and NEXT. Throughout the fair, Focus Photography works will be indicated by an explanatory plaque.

New Insight

Art Chicago | NEXT
An exhibition of top MFA students from some of the country's most influential graduate art programs, New Insight is curated by Susanne Ghez, director of The Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago. A platform for new talent and innovative ideas, New Insight provides the opportunity to view work by some of the brightest young minds working in diverse graduate programs across the country. 

The work of 18 students from 10 institutions will be exhibited in the 2011 edition of New Insight.

Sculpture Projects

An exhibition of large sculptures and installations throughout The Merchandise Mart on the First Floor and outside of the building. In partnership with Chicago Sculpture International, the project highlights the work of John Aducci, Nicole Beck, Guy Bellaver, Michael Brown, Leslie Bruning, Bob Emser, Dusty Folwarczny, Ron Gard, Ted Garner, Mike Helbing, Suzanne Horwitz, Terry Karpowicz, Evan Lewis, Ruth Migdal, Bruce Niemi, Christine Rojek, Tom Scarff, Eric Steele, Fisher Stoltz, John Suave, Eric Stephenson, Barry Tinsley, Jason Verbeek, and Mike Young.

NEXT Projects

NEXT galleries feature the work of emerging artists in an exhibition in a non-traditional setting inclusive of large scale sculptures and installations throughout the 12th Floor, all unencumbered by the traditional booth format.
