CONVERGE: Regional Curators Forum

Debuting at Art Chicago and NEXT, May 1-4, 2009, CONVERGE will bring regional curators together to discuss topics confronting museum and curatorial practice in the changing economic climate. 

Now is the time for Art Chicago and NEXT to present CONVERGE – we offer the right venue, audience, resources and moment to examine increasingly pressing issues.  While regional art scenes – museums and nonprofit spaces as well as artists – feel the impact of these times, this climate also offers moments of great invention and renewed resourcefulness. 

CONVERGE will facilitate the discussion and development of new ideas in a ‘Town Hall Meeting” style setting that will allow the general public to engage with the CONVERGE curators. 

Programs open to the public will take place at venues located at NEXT and Art Chicago. Please check the Art Chicago and NEXT websites as details regarding public programs will be posted in the coming weeks.
