Art Chicago 2010 Onsite Exhibitions

Art Chicago is planning an extensive program of onsite exhibitions, organized to highlight the fair’s best artists and most cutting edge works of art.

Partisan

Carving out a critical space within the art fair context, Partisan is a special exhibition of works that explore social and political ideas or emerge as political actions in their own right. Culled from Art Chicago and NEXT galleries by independent curators Rachel Furnari and Karsten Lund, Partisan revisits the open question of the impact of politically-motivated art, while raising the possibility of finding diverse forms of political meaning where they are least expected

New Insight

See rising talent at New Insight, an exhibition of MFA students from the country’s most influential art programs, curated by Susanne Ghez of The Renaissance Society.

Survey America

In this floor-wide exhibit Survey America, highly exceptional works throughout the fair created by artists living and working in North America will be highlighted with a special plaque.

Docent Program

Art Chicago’s premier docent program, organized by Erbe Art Projects, features specialized, tailored tours of Art Chicago and NEXT exhibitions and galleries.  Tours are led by art professionals and consultants who are available to help patrons and collectors navigate the fair, while providing assistance with questions about works of art.
