Dear Friends of Next Art Chicago, To that end, we have been developing year-round programming and are about to launch our first initiative, The Collectors' Colloquium, presented in partnership with Chicago Gallery News. This program is designed for art enthusiasts and new collectors interested in honing their collecting skills and developing a discerning eye. Casual monthly sessions – beginning in November – will feature experienced and engaging art professionals, including curators, collectors, art dealers, and artists, who will share tips and thoughts related to selecting and buying art. As I’m sure you are aware, October is Chicago Artists Month, and we salute the City’s impressive efforts to promote the remarkable and hard-working artists who make Chicago their home. You may not know this, but Next Art Chicago provides studio space at the Merchandise Mart for a group of six artists from the Chicago Artists Coalition. For more information about the artists participating in the 6 month work on paper residency program please click here. Please be sure to visit our website for information about the latest fair developments. Below you will find a listing of some of the amazing art events occurring this month. See you around town. |
